Research Projects

My research focuses on understanding human motor control. I'm currently translating this academic work into blog posts and portfolio projects that explain *why* this science matters for technology.

🧠

Proprioception

Proprioception is the central nervous system's sense of its own body. My research investigates how we build this sense and what happens when it's manipulated with tools like tendon vibration, creating powerful sensory illusions.

Motor Control

I build custom, real-time hardware and software systems to study how the nervous system controls movement. This involves interfacing with hardware (NI-DAQ), presenting visual feedback (PsychoPy), and performing online signal processing.

📊

Sensorimotor Integration

I investigate how sensory information (like vision and proprioception) is integrated to produce smooth, accurate movements. This research has direct parallels to sensor fusion algorithms in robotics (e.g., Kalman filters) and AI.
